HFASI provides support groups for foster, kinship and adoptive parents for multiple counties in Central Indiana, free of charge to those families.  Child care is available for special needs children during the meetings, again free of charge to the parents.  It is our belief that support services should be available to parents of special needs children without concern for cost of training/education or child care.  In addition, HFASI provides a nationally recognized respite program for our member parents on a monthly basis.  The program is designed to allow parents a much needed break for the daily demands of caring for their special needs children, thus allowing families to remain strong and intact when dealing with difficult emotional and behavioral issues.  Placements are sustained and families stabilized when the respite program is a routine part of their family activities.
